Datuk Khalid Jaafar
Datuk Khalid Jaafar is a public intellectual, writer, and political activist who has long been at the forefront of Malaysia’s reform movement and inclusive policy advocacy. As Chairman of the Institute for Policy Research (Institut Kajian Dasar – IKD), he brings over three decades of experience in journalism, strategic communications, and public policy thought leadership. A former press secretary to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and one of the founding members of the People’s Justice Party (Parti Keadilan Rakyat – PKR), Datuk Khalid continues to steer IKD as a platform for progressive ideas, social justice, good governance, and the development of a democratic and inclusive civil society.

Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar
Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar is a seasoned Malaysian statesman with decades of experience in academia, politics, and public service. Born on 3 November 1951 in Wakaf Bharu, Kelantan, he began his professional journey as a lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) before entering politics. He served as the Member of Parliament for Tumpat from 1999 to 2018 and later for Bandar Tun Razak from 2018 to 2022. During his tenure, he held key governmental roles including Deputy Minister of Transport and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Datuk Kamarudin was formerly the Secretary-General of both the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and the Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM). Now a member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU), he remains an influential figure in shaping national discourse and public policy through various political and civil society platforms.
